in the depths of my confusion
In the depths of my confusion, I find solace in the night Where shadows dance and whispers echo, in the absence of his light He loves her, not me, a truth that cuts like a knife Breaking my heart repeatedly, in this never-ending strife I long for his affection, his touch, his tender gaze But he turns away, leaving me lost in a haze Why does he choose her, when I offer my all? I am left to wonder, to stumble, to fall Each time he leaves, a piece of me shatters Yet I cling to hope, as my heart still flutters I try to understand, to make sense of it all But the confusion consumes me, like a never-ending squall I question my worth, my place in his heart Why am I not enough, why do we always part? I search for answers in the depths of my soul But the pain and the longing take their toll So I stand in the darkness, alone and afraid Lost in the maze of my own heartache He loves her, not me, a truth I must accept As I navigate the labyrinth of my own regret But through the tears and the sorrow, a glimmer of light I find strength in my reflection, in the depths of the night I may never have his love, but I have my own And in that realization, my heart finds a home So I embrace the confusion, the pain, the despair
