in the dance of joy and tears
If joy and tears should ever meet, They'd find their place within my heart, This dance of life, a bittersweet, In every moment, they impart. I ponder now, is this sincere? A laughter shared, a fleeting glance, Yet faces mask what lies so near, In human hearts, we take our chance. With what facade can one proclaim The worth of human dignity, When trust is lost, and hearts feel shame, I’ve watched this play of irony. Ever since he’s found a friend, This tale unfolds, a simple thread, Yet in this bond, I fear the end, For love can bloom, but also shed. I dread the day you might depart, Yet I will hold each promise tight, With every beat, you own my heart, Until my breath fades into night.
