In Search of True Friendship
In the bustling halls where dreams unfold, Amidst the start of college, stories untold, Not in the competitions, but in friendships' hold, Lies the essence of a tale, both warm and cold. There was one who seemed to shine the most, Believed by many to be their utmost close, Yet her heart lay elsewhere, a different coast, Where friendship bloomed, but love did not boast. Another, deemed a sibling by heart's decree, Slowly became the anchor, steadfast and free, Though fear of rejection kept words at bay, Their bond grew deep, a comforting stay. Then came those who sought more than kin, Toying with emotions, playing to win, But she, with dignity, held her ground within, Respecting feelings, never causing chagrin. In search of a true friend, she wandered far, Through old loves and life's unending scar, Perhaps destiny holds a brighter star, To heal her pain, wherever they are. Amidst the trials of love's intricate game, In college's tumult, where echoes proclaim, May divine grace soothe her heart's flame, And bring her solace beyond the name.
