In Search of Myself
I wasn’t searching for you, not at all, Not even sure I was searching for me, Wandering through shadows, quiet and small, Lost in the silence, where I longed to be. But there you stood, like a light in the night, Unasked, unplanned, yet perfectly clear, In finding you, I found my own sight, Our paths entwined, drawing each other near. In your eyes, I saw the parts I’d lost, Pieces of me that I didn’t yet know, No longer adrift, no longer the cost, For in finding you, I found myself grow. Now here we stand, not two but a blend, In you, I’ve found me—a beginning, not an end.
