in my state of mind
In the depths of my mind, I'm a prisoner confined, Trapped in a state where solace is hard to find. Walls built of worries, doubts all around, I'm chained by my fears, my own mental ground. Every thought locks me in, none set me free, A captive of my own neurotic decree. The bars of anxiety enclose me tight, In this prison of thoughts, I'm losing my sight. Each day I struggle, with no key to escape, Hope slowly diminishes, like a dwindling flame. The weight of depression, an anchor too heavy, Dragging me down, drowning me steady. But amidst the darkness, a flicker of light, A whisper of courage, shining so bright. Finding strength in the chaos, I start to break free, Unlocking the chains, embracing my decree. No longer a prisoner, I rise above, Defying the limitations, with heart full of love. With each step forward, I leave behind the past, Embracing the future, with hope that will last. Now, I'm breaking free, spreading my wings wide, No longer confined by the walls of my mind. For I am the creator of my own fate, No longer a prisoner, but master of my state.
