In My Own Skin
🌿 When I look in the mirror, I see my face, A mix of laughter lines and a little grace. The traces of tears tell stories untold, Each mark a reminder that I'm brave and bold. I’ve wandered through shadows, felt doubt creep in, Those whispers that say I’ll never win. “Change who you are, be someone new,” But deep down inside, I know what is true. There’s a flicker of light that whispers to me, “Hey there, it’s okay; just let yourself be.” I’m made of my dreams, my fears, and my fights, A beautiful puzzle of days and nights. I’ll wear my scars like a badge on my heart, Each one a lesson from all the hard parts. No more comparisons; I’ll stand up tall, In this beautiful journey, I’ll embrace it all. So here’s to the mornings when I wake up slow, To the days filled with laughter and times that I grow. I’ll celebrate quirks and dance to my tune, In my own skin is where I’ll bloom. 🌿
