IN MY FATHER LAND
I've long craved for goodies of life I've strived, worked and tirelessly laboured I've drunk the bitter in the face of vinegar I've wept and even sang in the face of hunger I've run on a legless head And my hair got missing Even in my father's land I made hay When the sun shone But it refused to get dried I dug the soil narrow and wide As a son of the soil But found mere rocks I pestered further But I found tepid water And in no man's land I crept like crickets For greener pastures But the Lilliputians enslaved me Then I made way out But Lethe darkened my image And made me wander But on the right path I woke thrice in my awakened posture And realized I have a grazing herd And it suddenly became known I have a green plantation plantation for the fatherless.
