In another life
It’s strange how certain songs can take you back to a time you thought you had left behind. Hearing those lyrics feels like reliving the moments we shared, even though we've both moved on, gone our separate ways, and haven’t spoken since. There's still this quiet ache that lingers, a part of me holding onto something I know is already gone. I miss the small things — our late-night talks, the plans we made for a future that never came. And while I know life has taken us down different paths, I can’t help but imagine "in another life," we could have made it work. Maybe in that version of us, I could have found the right words, and you would have stayed. But for now, I sit with the what-ifs, trapped in my own delusions, hoping it makes the pain a little easier to carry. Even if we’re apart, I’ll always remember — you were the one that got away.
