In some ensuing life, I shall implore your heart once more, For passage beyond this realm is but an ordained decree. Yet ere that crossing, undo me wholly with your ardor, Let your affection dismantle and remake my being, Till I am but a vessel shaped by the ruin of your love. In another dawn of existence, I would cherish loving you anew, For now the fable finds its clarity within my soul— Like star-crossed lovers bound in tragic unity, Who perished apart yet converged in eternity, Their end a union the living could not bestow. In another span of time, I would beseech an earlier meeting, For fleeting hours have betrayed my longing heart. Moments dissolve too swiftly beneath love’s weight, Grant me a beginning where time is yet unspent, And undo me again with the excess of your tenderness. I could not endure the prolonging of breath without you, Should fate decree your departure before mine. For our spirits are not fashioned for solitary wandering, But woven as one against the tempests of existence, Bound to traverse the unknown in shared becoming.
