Imprisoned in the Wall
Dream-> detached from body, no-clipped through, feel body but not see it, a numbed knowledge of the limbs' arrangement and the breathing- the breathing, having to take each breath, as you float disembodied and cold and alone, for your body back on the bed to take its own breath, to keep breathing. Coma-> one day, cannot return. Cannot wake. Out of your control. You see the vast glow, as if the stars in the black void had been replaced by neurons as huge and distant as galaxies long dead but still pulsing and glowing. You float, afraid, lost, disconnected from the real world, stuck in this horrible world-inside-the-wall. When they find you, you skim blindly under the skin of the earth, invisible hands outstretched, tracing your body's path upon the highway as it jostles around on the gurney. You are too scared to roam far from the hospital room where your body has been taken. Far away you hear the beckoning of a fake god, and he calls you to join his land of fake people. You feel the warmth of your parents' hands on the hands of your distant body, and the trickle of blood dripping down from your nose, and when they unplug you fake god looks at you with his terrible, saucer like eyes.
