Imperfect Love
I hate my eyes because your beauty is blurry from afar. I hate my ears because sometimes I can't hear the softness in your voice. I hate my mind for forgetting the things you've said, the little pieces of you I swore I'd never lose. I hate my mouth for holding back the words I want to tell you because they never feel beautiful enough for you to hear. I hate my heart because it hurts, because it's sweet, because it's bitter, because it's joyful all at once. And I hate these things, not out of anger at myself, but because my love for you is so strong. I wish my senses, my words, my very soul were perfect enough to hold it. But they aren't. And that's why I hate them. Because I love you.
