Impenitent Énouement

I'm not quite certain how I arrived to today, Though I could tell you every detail of the path. I suppose what I mean to say, is that I'm not quite certain how I could not have. Even with the quote-unquote "wisdom" I've learned, I'm not certain that my choices could have been much different. Or even yet, that the choices of so many others Would not have been the same. And so then, it is all but surprising that The longest surviving part of my heart Is to observe, perhaps enviously and preciously, The innocence found in a child's mind. I wish that many elements of the past Were indeed regrettable; there might be lessons to learn. Instead, the greatest truth I've gleaned from it all is that Innocence is worth admiring, is worth saving.
