Impatient Faith
I clasp my hands together And close my eyes I try to think of You, But my mind starts to wander Instead of Your Grace, I start to daydream And think the prayer, Word by word, Going through the motions I know it's not the same, Lord. That my words need to be genuine And from the heart. But if I could say, I want to try To be true to You when I pray, And not just thinking empty words. So I'll try. I'll try for You and for me It still amazes me That You gave up Your life For someone like me.
