Imaginary Friend
I feel you there in the shadows of my being, The type of imaginary friend that should only be an idiosyncratic nightmare, leaving me to simply wake up to reality, forgetting we've ever met. But you are my shadow, causing me to feel so shallow, Holding my identity captive, making these pills so hard to swallow. For no one sees you like I do, but if you disappeared, I'd then be looking at myself in the reflection of a cracked mirror, looking so weak and unrecognizable. But I'm not sure if I'm able to handle that. I live to accept you live inside of me, and I'll be free once, in my grave, I rest my head. But imaginary friend, please know one thing, We will never be friends. You deserve to be lonely because, letting karma win
