I'm Thriving
In this life, I plan to succeed, I've tried—I have sown seeds. I follow the procedures of the farmer; I'm still young, but in the family, I'm like the father. I plan to leave home and wander the jungle, explore farther places to experience and to mingle. I plan to attend the best university and be a celebrity. I imagine the day I will graduate and how I will be celebrating I plan to be a doctor or maybe a lawyer? I plan to lecture and to be recognized in the realm of power. I plan to be the best and have all the girls running behind me. I plan to be transparent, just, and have everyone applauding me. I planned, oh f*ck, so many plans. I planned, oh damn, they're too hard to attain in this land. Oh, so many obstacles: lack of money, connections, and so many family problems. I'm crying—explaining myself to you; is that even your problem? I must make it, I must reach there and provide something for my family to eat. I'm determined, courageous, and I'm fighting So many thanks to Allah; after all, I'm thriving.
