I'm the friend that's says it'll be okay. The one when everyone leaves I stay. I believe in you more than you believe in yourself. I will be the lucky charm stuck on your shelf. I'm the friend that'll stay quiet. My bark isn't worse than my bite, don't try it. I always say I'm only a call away. With a shovel and suit case, or ice cream if you promise you'll be okay. I'm the friend everyone needs, but not really. The that they call for something silly. I'm the friend that's alone most nights. I'm the one to defend them in fights. I'm the friend that stays in. I'll back up fights pasted that I've got something to begin. I'm the friend no one needs. The one who silently bleeds. I'm that friend, so there's no need to worry. I'll stay when everyone else scurries. I'm the friend that won't chase you. If you want to leave, I'll open the door for you too. I'm the friend that says it'll be okay. When everyone leaves I'll stay I'll be where you need, I don't need a thing. Just please don't expect me to come quickly, when I see you running.
