I'm still sorry
The cycle begins. I open my arms, and a light emerges to encase. Darling, is this my deadly sin? Warmth, comfort, care, all to shelter. All to keep safe, all to vanquish harm But that's my alarm. What am I left to do? Compassion must show through, but I am left stuck, eaten by a smelter. Love is my deadly fated toxin. This is not the other's fault, but mine to affirm. That's my alarm They fell in a bound which I didn't see. One that I knew was loose and meek. My regret runs deep, a haunting error of me, unseen. Breaking the bond is my only redeem. But that was my alarm, to let the cycle repeat. Forever indeed, it seems. I'm still sorry.
