I'm not the victim
I’m one to hide behind books, Or drown out the world with music, I have a hard time speaking my mind, So I like to write poems to help pass time, And to help cope and free my mind, I inherit sins I didn’t commit, Words I didn’t say, Dragons I didn’t slay, I’m stuck in a storm with lighting, But that storm is in my head, And it just plays on repeat, Going through my head, Feeling wind shiver against my skin, Having nervous breakdowns, I can no longer keep that in, I can’t take the heat, I couldn’t be more discrete, I feel like I’m going to war against the world, Along the way I’m fighting demons, These demons are the cause to my over thinking, Makes me feel like in such a big space I’m shrinking, Not physically but mentally, Nothing more than dark clouds crowding my space, Shortage of words, It’s getting hard to breathe, I’m screaming to the top of my lungs, not one voice back, I’m as loud as I can but yet still goes unnoticed, Out of sight, Out of mind, That’s just the way the world works, I was once blind, But now those blindfolds have unfolded from my face, I’m so sick of this world, I just feel to go back when I was unheard, Go back to the black, The dark in the nights ....tbcc not enough space
