im not her
In this battle, I let my senses down, Fatigued from the constant fight, I am fooled, As I gasp for breath in my self-made sea, I drown. I am not her, though she's angelic, I'm ruled. For she is the devil in disguise, dear, The villain in your perfect love story. I am but a fool, playing the role clear, Overtime I toil, striving for glory. If only I were svelte, like her, just petite, Perhaps then you would choose me, my appeal, But these surface measures can't make us complete, True love should be genuine, not ideal. I must let go of this self-imposed strife, Hold true to myself, and embrace true life.
