I'm no clairvoyant
They say "when you know, you know"— Like it’s written in the stars or glow, From some hidden sign I’m meant to see, But bitch, I’m not a clairvoyant. I don’t have eyes that peer through time, Or feel some cosmic, built-in rhyme, That tells me "this is it" with no damn clue, How the hell was I supposed to know that too? They act like truth’s a bright neon sign, That only they can see shine, While I’m here squinting in the dark, Wondering why my brain’s not making its mark. "When you know, you know"—such lazy talk, Like understanding’s just a casual walk, Through clear-cut paths they claim we all should tread, But I’m over here with questions in my head. So spare me your mysterious little phrase, I don’t need secrets wrapped in haze, Just give me facts, give me some sense, ‘Cause I’m no psychic—common sense’s my defense.
