In shadows deep, I learned to hide, Emotions stifled, locked inside. A perfect daughter, flawless facade, Obedient, obedient, with every nod. But beneath the mask, a weary soul, Yearning for freedom, to feel whole. Each smile a veil, concealing the strain, As days drift by, a silent refrain. A friend, a light, in darkness found, Yet fear persists, to show, profound. Afraid to reveal, the depths within, For fear that acceptance, I may not win. Some call me cold, devoid of care, Yet within, emotions flare. A human heart, beats in me, But shackled by lessons, learned to flee. Emotions deemed useless, taught to conceal, Yet within my heart, they're very real. So let me break the chains that bind, And reclaim the emotions, left behind.
