I'm Growing Up
It's ending. Dreaded, but true, I could stare into its face 'til I were blue. I thought we could just hang on - even a little longer. Truth is, it's over before you realise it ever began. I miss it whilst I lie in bed. Deep into a lumbered depression. Of course, we all wanted it to end. Some even made it there, premature. But times change, so do we. So, I will continue to mourn it. Night after Night. Until one day, I shall grow fond of who I am today and mourn that instead. By then, of course, my knees will give, and my skin will shrink. and it'll end, once more.
