I'm Brocken but not Rotten
In the crucible of life, I've been tried and refined, My heart, a vessel, cracked and worn, yet still divine. The shards of shattered dreams, the fragments of my past, Have left me broken, yet unbroken, my spirit forever to last. The tempests of turmoil, the whirlwinds of woe, Have shaken my foundations, yet failed to extinguish my glow. For in the darkness of despair, a light still flickers bright, A beacon of resilience, guiding me through the blackest of nights. I'm broken, but not rotten, my essence remains untainted, My soul, a phoenix rising, from the ashes of my heart, unrelented. The scars of my struggles, the wounds of my pain, Have tempered my spirit, like steel forged in the fire's refrain. In this fragile, fractured state, I've discovered a strange, new strength, A capacity to love, to forgive, to rise above the length. Of the shadows that have haunted me, the ghosts that I've known, I've learned to face my demons, to tame the beasts that once had grown. So let the cracks remain, let the scars tell their tale, For in their brokenness, I've found a beauty that never fails.
