I'll try again tomorrow
I gather the blankets Up to my chin, Squirming my way Into the warm comfort Of a quiet bed, The sky a dark shade of winter And frost. My eyes are not heavy with sleep But the gears inside me are worn out- They've been spinning against each other All day Just to keep me moving. But now I've made it here, Lying under the soft weight Of the moonlight Whispering, "I'll try again tomorrow."
