I'll be 18 when the fire endures me I'll be 18 when they tribute me I'll be 18 they pull the machine I'll be 18 when they cover me in white I'll be 18 when their tears touch me I'll be 18 when they try to remember my voice I'll be 18 when they tell about me I'll be 18 when they kiss me for the last time I'll be 18 in the photographs they keep I'll be 18 when they repeat my story I'll be 18 when my friends turn 25 I'll be 18 when their children learn to walk I'll be 18 when my birthday comes again I'll be 18 when my parents find my poems I'll be 18 when the last person who remembers me is gone..
