ignorance is bliss(?)
* Ignorance to the extend of blindness to one's surroundings is not bliss, it's vulnerable in a way that one is at a constant risk of harm. Indeed, everyone is always at a risk of being harmed, but to be ignorant to it is to not be living fully, death is a bigger part of life than living and if we choose to ignore it, we do not see the full extent of our existence. We spend more time in death than we do in living, more time in pain than we do in peace. * * Ignorance to extent of blindness is an inebriated gamble, in which the sightless tolerantly embrace the unknown and are merely tantalized by what is to come without the weight of overbearing consciousness. Where there's risk, there is a story to be told. Without the pain to inflict suffering, would the peace still act as a placebo to be savoured? If we dwelled on what is to come at death, would there still be enough time to admire the state of existence already granted to us? Ignorance is intoxicating, yet liberating. What is a life if spent confined to the pressures of denying vulnerability. "I think too deeply about everything. I still don't know if it allows me to see more of the world, or less of it." -Mobeen Hankeem
