"If You're Not Ready"

If you’re not ready, that’s okay. I won’t rush you or drag you out of hiding. I know some healing can’t be done with an audience. Some answers can’t be handed over on someone else’s timeline. I’ve loved you long enough to know you feel deeply, even in silence. So I’ll wait, but not forever. I’ll give you space, but I won’t go missing in it. I’ll offer grace, but not at the cost of myself. Because love isn’t just about holding on. It’s about holding well, with care, with honesty, with limits. So if you’re not ready, that’s okay. But don’t ask me to stay in a waiting room with no door, no light, no return. When you're ready, you’ll know where to find me. But I can’t promise I’ll still be sitting in the same place.
