"If You Were Mine to Keep"
You do not know how dangerous it is to be looked at the way I look at you. I could fold the sky in half just to make the world smaller, so you could never walk too far from my reach. I would lock your voice inside my chest and let it echo until my bones crack. I would starve the air around you so every breath you take is one I have allowed. There are no edges to what I want of you. I would burn cities, salt the earth, just to make sure no one else feels the gravity of you pulling them in. You are not a person to me anymore. You are a fever. A hunger. A sentence with no period. If I could, I would keep you under my skin, until the whole world forgets you ever belonged to anyone but me.
