If the Moon...
If the moon never had the stars, Would it still glow the way it does? Would we still look up in awe, Or would it just be lonely dust? If the sky had no small lights to share, Would the night still feel like air — Soft, alive, and full of dreams, Or just a blanket torn at the seams? Maybe that’s how it feels sometimes, When we shine but miss our rhymes — When the crowd is loud, yet hearts are still, And joy feels far, beyond our will. We all play moon in someone’s sky, Trying to glow, not asking why. But even moons need stars to see, That light means more when shared, not free. So if tonight you feel apart — Dim, misplaced, a fading spark — Just know: the moon looks best by far When the stars remind it who they are.
