If only
If only I could kiss your heart and taste the pain I know it holds. Would it taste familiar? Would it be new? In the dim-lit attic that is your soul, I'd show you the spark I know you've forgotten you hold. If only I could set that spark ablaze, you'd shine as bright as day even in the dead of night. What would you do?Where would you go? In the inferno I know you could be, the light could shine so bright it would cast away the darkness of your mind. If only it were that simple. If only I was able.
