IF LOVE WAS A CRIME
If love was a crime, then arrest me- I confess I am a sinner. Your beauty , a fire I can't escape, It haults my thoughts, makes my mind thinner. I know I can't trust you completely, But still there is something deep in your eyes . A mystery , a spark , something haunting- A feeling I just can't disguise. I don't know what this really is, But maybe, just maybe, it's love. They say a true friend stands by in need - But I've searched ,and it's you I think of . The way you speak, the way you move , Every action, every little sign- Drives me crazy, pulls me in, And I wish I could call you mine . I want you-yes all of you, Not in parts ,but full and true. I want your love and your attention, Not your silence, not your rejection . It's hard to say I hate you- I don't and I never could . I hide my feelings deep inside, But they linger, misunderstood . Each night I lie awake, With thoughts of you that won't let go. Your name plays like a broken song, In a loop that I wanna gain your trust someday, Dive into your love so deep. Your beauty is hard to resist , Like a flame that pulls me in. If love was a crime, then arrest me- For loving you is my sin .
