If I were not born
If I were not born, what would it look like? Like a puzzle without its missing piece, like a song with no melody, like a sky with no stars. If I were not born, who would fill my space? Who would laugh at silly jokes, who would wipe away the tears, who would cheer when dreams come true? If I were not born, what stories would be left untold? The adventures I have yet to live, the friendships I have yet to make, the love I have yet to give. If I were not born, who would cross your path? Who would share your joys and sorrows, who would hold your trembling hand, who would promise to understand? If I were not born, would the world miss me? Would my absence leave a void, a touch of something never known, a silent ache in lonely hearts? If I were not born, I would be an empty whisper, a faded shadow on the wall, a forgotten name in time's embrace, a universe that never was. But I am born.
