IF I WAS...
My love, If I was a little quieter some days, Lost in thoughts I can’t explain — Would you wait for me to find the words, Or love me through the silence and the rain? If I was a storm instead of calm, Would you still run to me, arms wide, Or would the thunder in me scare you off, From the soft places where I hide? If I was a dreamer, forever chasing skies, Would you anchor me gently or drift away? If I gave you all my chaos wrapped in gold, Would you still want to stay? If I wasn’t always strong, if I crumbled now and then, Would you hold me like a home, And remind me who I am again? If all I had was love — no fame, no shine, Would you still think I’m enough, Still proudly call me “mine”? Because I don’t ask for perfect. I don’t ask for never-ending ease. I just ask this — if I was simply "me"... Would you still love me, please?
