If I lose the battle
Everyday in darkness, I have fought my fight Against the shadows that shrouded my mind I strained and struggled with everything in me Yet still, the sorrow I could not leave behind Each day a battle, a war within my soul and mind To find the light and push through the pain I tried to stay strong, to keep my control But the weight of depression, it left its stain And if I lose the battle to depression Know that I tried hard to survive I tried to shut it out, to find some redemption I gave my best, but it wasn't enough to thrive
