If I could
If I could, I'd ask mother nature's blessing so I can borrow a night to be with the stars and the moon. High up there, high up there where I can clearly see you dance. Memorize those moves, feel your rhythm and hear that Melody till my entire being can take no more. At least that way I wouldn't have to rewrite the stars. I'd move to your rhythm, sing to your melodies and dance by your side. If I could. If I could, I'd return with the cool morning breeze. Cold enough to chill your bones,so I can warm you up when I rise as the morning sun. At least that way I can feel your love and appreciation. For that is the only thing I long for. Than when the sun is too hot and you can bare no more, I'll sprinkle you a shower of rain to vaporize the day,and blow you the lightest breeze. Light enough to kiss those heavy frustrations away into thin air. At least that way you'll know that I'm here and still care for you. And if you still don't believe me,I'll paint you a rainbow. So that you can see the colorful nuances of my love. If I could. If I could, I'll make you a path. A path big enough, big enough so at the end of the day I can guide you home. Home where love is surplus,so that I can peacefully bid my silent goodbyes.
