If I Could
I would fall like snowflakes on thy garden if I could, I would settle like snow dust on the roses of thy garden. Would thou hast smiled with love for me — If thou could? If thou could, thy lovely smile would have shown me heaven. If it were possible, I would have rained mine love on thy garden's soil, And every drop would have given growth to thy garden's lovely roses. Would thou hast atleast then let me fall for thy love? And lose myself and grow in the form of these signs of love called roses. Only If I could, I would have became a little butterfly for thee, To get atleast the sweet taste of the love growing in thy lawn. Maybe then, thou would hast let me stay — its my heart's plea! To stay in thy soft palms and be the reason of thy laughter and smile's dawn. Love! Let me become the hands which wipe thy every tear from that face, And squeeze thy hands reassuringly to put a beautiful smile on thy lovely face.
