If Death Could Sing
Where loneliness breathes A passion I crave and always wanted My heart crumbles like fall leaves A melody of darkness my soul is haunted A waste of life A cocoon shell of skin with no meaning An ongoing strife My broken heart that suffers with no healing Fingernails scratching barely hanging on Fearing my thoughts as I sink lower My body is there but my spirit is gone Tears of blood fall as my heartbeats slower Sing to me as I slowly die My inner child is forgotten Overwhelming pain too hurt to cry My purpose withers and has become rotten
