Ice Cream and Alley Ways
You were every late night in my bed Empty walls and withering flowers My phone next to my head You almost convinced me I had powers You were the messy button up And hand pulling me through the crowd A random red cup Every night without a single cloud You were the sunny summer days With messy ice cream and corner stores Spending all of our time in alley ways Eyes blinking "I love you" in Morse You were the warm skin against mine Our fingers inseparable Arms constantly entwined And a bond painfully irreplaceable You were the pain in my foot My because and from here on out Following me through all the soot Even if I had a pout You were my sweet summer child Covering me in lilies Making sure all of my food is mild And shooing off all the hillbillies You were my highschool lover It's a shame how things don't last Now when I see you I turn over As I daydream about the past
