I wrote two versions of this 1
The Haunted Father On April's nineteenth, a soul took flight, Leaving a void, a chilling fright. Though years have passed, the pain endures, a haunting echo, a morbid lure. Before I could crawl, I was dragged to the scene, A sinister realm, a drunken queen. In smoky dens, where shadows creep, I learned to fear, to drink, to weep. At five, I downed brews, a bitter taste, A twisted legacy, a tainted haste. Yet, I resisted the darkest plight, The abyss of abuse, the endless night. How could you, father, inflict such pain, A wound so deep, it will always remain? Though I miss you, a haunting fear, Whispers of darkness, forever near. tell me in the comments which one you like better.
