I wonder
I wonder If you became the person You wanted to be Spend your days Walking along a snowy woodland trail, Blanketed with the silence Of a world holding it's breath. The footprints in your shadow Stretching for miles In spite of the endless storm. Or are you like me House warmed and bright With the twinkling of make-believe stars, Putting on a coat Of dreams and wishes And boots that stamp 'Here I Am' Into the fresh white canvas Of the new year. Are you standing in the entrance Of who you could be I wonder If you'll open the door.
