I Wish to See You

I wish to see you, not today, But maybe on some quiet day. When skies are clear and time is kind, I hope you cross my path, in mind. No rush, no plans, no words to say, Just a simple “hi” along the way. A little smile, a peaceful air, To know you're fine, just standing there. We’ve gone our ways, and that’s okay, But something in me hopes one day— Our roads will meet, not far, not deep, Just where old memories softly sleep. Not for answers, not to stay, Just to see you, some fine day. And in that moment, short and true, I'll quietly think, “I’m glad I saw you.”
