I wish

I wish you were mean, I wish you made me hate you. I wish you hurt me so bad it stings my skin. I wish the pain of having to let you go but not wanting to didn't burn like fire on each of my fingertips. I wish you made it easier just to hate you. But you didn't, and I still love you with all my heart. Wanting to not let you go. Wishing I could keep you close to my heart. But I need you to grow and be healed. So I know that I need to let you go. but I can't I love you too much. I wish I could just let you free from my grasp of love.
