i wish...
Darling you never were one for sentiment, Saying I should think twice id never thought you'd crush my windpipes when I'd try sing, I guess loving you at first sight was blinding then. Darling you were never one to hold my hand because I'd reach for you and you'd turn cold as ice afraid my touch is frostbite like loving me would get you frostbitten. I wish you loved me when, I let you in I wish you weren't so hesitant I wish I knew right then That this was how it's gonna end. Darling you were never one to stand long silences, blaring like tornado sirens making sure the world here's it. Darling you never were one for settling in, always on edge afraid if you take the step you'd drown once you fall in. Darling you were always one to save your own skin, you'd leave me when I'm worn to thin. Darling you were never someone I could trust, you leave all the antiques you love to collect dust. I guess love isn't always as it seems, it still haunts me, how you left leaving me nothing, broken and unkept I wish you left me where we met, i wish you never found me, tucked away in your memory looks like you'd rather bury me than let let me rest.
