I WILL MARRY YOU MY FRIEND
By Julius Malah Matete Munthali News of her hospitalisation Struck my spinal cord like a strike of a powerful lightening Broken collar bone! Broken limbs! Reaching the hospital Getting into the ward Tears trekked down my cheeks Her situation was terrible I took hold of her arms, assuring her she would be ok "Where is the beast?" "Under police care!" Though she was in pain, I heard her asking me to marry her "Your husband, the beast?" "I have already filed for a divorce!" "John, you are a good man, you deserve my love! You deserved my love!" Kissing her lightly on the forehead, I responded warmly, "I will marry you my friend."
