I Will Change
"I will change..." "My wife, I will change" The phrase much like him He chose that hymn, Of all options life could offer, His wife could only suffer, Scoffing at his idea of change, The words to her not strange. Seriously! Even with his degree, Bhang' could not let him free, And, still at his advanced age, With youths he drunk off his wage, Neighbors eyes were watching As his life he was botching, His family could only hope, Their head's state wasn't slope. The kids had a father, Yet wished he was further, They hated much his drama, Which was his life's aroma, Their mama, a patient one, She never attempted to run, Why not they wondered, Only she knew she had blundered. A number of suitors had come, She'd dismissed all as dumb, Only him she accepted to love, The rich, the famous would rove, But her attention she gave to him, The now severely wasted him!
