I will always love you

I think I will always love you. But I don't love you, as I did back than. I wouldn't go above and beyond for you anymore, just so you can destroy myself a little bit more. I don't love you unconditionally anymore. I'm not IN love with you anymore. Sure I care about you. Sure I think about you every day. Sure I still love you. But the difference is, my love for you is just pity, nothing else. I feel sorry for you, because such a hurt, mean, rude and unkind person must surely hate himself more than anyone. So yes, maybe I still love you, but not the kind, respectful, unconditional love you used to know.
