I was silent
I was silent Yes, I was silent, yet in my mind, I roared, A tempest of thoughts, in chaos stored. My tongue lay still, my lips unmoved, But my mind's orchestra was finely tuned. I sing in cacophony, a dissonant strain, My voice crude, like untempered rain. Yet beneath the discord lies a soulful stream, A melody woven from an earnest dream. I dance like a child, unshackled, free, Each step a cadence of raw ecstasy. Awkward, unrefined, yet profoundly pure, In those clumsy moves, I find my cure. I believed no talent resided in me, A barren mind, a talentless sea. So I turned to math, my solace, my art, I devoted my days with a passionate heart. An insatiable greed for knowledge arose, To learn, to teach—this path I chose. Books became my world, my only desire, To read, to grow, to inspire and aspire. The gym now fuels my relentless stride, An addiction born from the strength inside. Weights and numbers, my daily creed, Both fuel my hunger, both meet my need. Silent lips, yet a mind afire, With passions that burn and never tire. Songs of longing, dances of release, In my discord, I find my peace. yes I was silent.
