I was caged in a room
In the room of my mind, I found darkness— A wrecked space heavy with dread. Tender moments hid behind the curtains, While my bed became a crematorium for the living. The desire to give up hung from the fan, And my closet overflowed with hatred and disgust. The dining hall longed to serve me The same tasteless trauma again. The windows whispered of a distant bliss, And the door sparked with a longing to flee— But I was caged in that wrecked place, A prisoner of my own mind. -Harshit
