I want to hurt him bad
In the quiet of my heart there's a storm that rages wild, A tempest fierce with lightning's strike, protective of a child. My friend, my kin, not by blood but by bonds that we have spun, Is hurt by one who should have cared, her trust he has undone. I stand with fists clenched tight, a guardian in the night, Aching to right the wrongs and set her troubled world aright. Anger courses through my veins, a river running deep, Yet I know that violence is a promise I can keep. I wish to be the warrior, her battles to engage, Yet nothing can calm this inner rage.
