I want to hate you
I want to hate you, a flame so bright, Yet shadows linger in the dead of night. Heartbreak, a thief, steals warmth from my chest, Leaving echoes of love in a heart distressed. You were the dream wrapped in a sigh, An endless whisper that danced through the sky. Now, memories ache like the sharpest of blades, In the garden of us, where the color now fades. Hurt is a language I’ve learned too well, Written in silence, where secrets dwell. Each word unsaid, a stone in the stream, Flowing through time, a half-lucid dream. I want to hate you, but love intertwines, In every heartbeat, your essence still shines. A paradox tangled, where joy meets despair, In the depth of my sorrow, I still find you there. So I gather my anger, fierce in the fight, Yet love’s tender glow pierces through the night. I want to hate you, but perhaps it’s too late, For love and loss dance in delicate fate.
